Lee Scott MP has kick started something important with regards to autism and Asperger's Syndrome in the United Kingdom. Parents and carers are urging people to lobby their members of parliament on autism. Lee Scott MP initiated what was noted as an ‘important debate’ on Autism in parliament on 7th March. The debate has pushed autism back into the spotlight and focused attention onto the crying needs of parents, carers and people with autism in the United Kingdom.

Ivan Corea of the Autism Awareness Campaign UK who attended the debate in parliament said: ‘I am grateful to Lee Scott for highlighting the needs of people with autism especially the desperate need for public services in education, health, specialist speech therapy and respite care.’

The debate was welcomed by members of parliament of all parties who have promised to take matters further with Government Ministers.
